Twenty two excited Badgers joined us for a weekend in London, returning yesterday for a shower and a good night's sleep! Most of the travelling was done on foot, carrying heavy backpacks but they were a resilient bunch and saw TONS of London landmarks: Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Westminster, The London Eye, The South Bank, The Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, The Golden Hind, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London! Our overnight accommodation was the 'Atmosphere' gallery at The Science Museum, and activities there included a pop-up planetarium, making 'spacelets', an IMAX film and a practical (and disgusting!) demonstration of how the digestive system works. Phew!
Badgers, you were a credit to us and to your parents, and we are very proud.
