Admissions to Brington Church of England School

Before applying for a primary school place, we recommend that you read the First Steps booklet (below). This will explain the application process from start to finish. The booklet also contains a list of all the primary schools in Cambridgeshire, along with their catchment areas and allocation criteria.

Brington Church of England Primary School serves the seven surrounding villages of Brington, Bythorn, Catworth, Keyston, Leighton Bromswold, Molesworth and Old Weston.

‘Reception-aged’ children are admitted to school in the September of the school year in which they become five years old. The school year runs from September 1st to August 31st of the following year. Parents of children in other year groups can apply at any time. If the year group is full the parents will be offered the right to appeal. The Local Authority (LA) take responsibility for all admissions of Reception-aged children.

If you are thinking of sending your child/children to our school, you are very welcome to come and have a look around and meet the staff and headteacher.  Please contact the school office to make an appointment.

Parents wishing to send their child/ren to Brington C of E Primary School should complete an application form (available from Cambridgeshire County Council admissions website or the school) and return it to the admissions office at Shire Hall.

The intake limit for Foundation Stage pupil admissions is 17.
