Expectation

Your child will bring weekly spelling lists home to learn. These may be words from the National Curriculum spelling list for their year group(s) or it may be words which contain a specific sound, follow a particular rule or include a common prefix / suffix.

Please support your child in learning their spellings in as many different ways as possible. Not all children will learn spellings successfully in the same way. Below are some ideas you may want to try at home as well as the lists of expected words for each year group.
