40 visitors (including parents, prospective parents, governors and other members of our community) joined us during Open Afternoon yesterday. They saw the school during a 'normal' Tuesday afternoon, joining in with lessons, looking at displays of work and exploring our outside place.
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us; the children enjoyed sharing their learning with you.
15 parents joined Mrs Kennedy and Mrs Reid at the Maths Workshop on Monday night, where we looked at the progression of teaching addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and had a go with some of the resources used in school. Mrs Kennedy is currently finalising a parents' booklet to go out to all families to support parents in supporting their children with calculation.
If you have any feedback about the usefulness of the workshop, or suggestions for future workshops, please pass them on to us.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for their donations and hard work for Sport Relief today!
We managed to raise a grand total of £92 with your donations.
As a whole school we ran a fantastic distance of 82 miles - that's from here in Brington all the way to London!
Thank you so much to everyone for their donations it will really make a difference to a lot of children's lives.
Here in school we have been completing a challenge for Lent. We were lucky enough to have Bishop Stephen from Ely begin our challenge with his ashing service and we have completed many different challenges since.
There have been a group of students working with Mrs Reid to complete lots of activities at lunch time to work towards completing our challenge. As for the rest of the school we have sat with someone new at lunchtime to make some new friends and today we had assembly outside to pray to all of the different villages that make up our fantastic school community.
Keep watching for news of even more exciting challenges as we go on!
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who sponsored the children during their fundraising for the NSPCC.
The total that we we raised was fantastic. Here are a couple of pictures showing the 2 classes which raised the most money.
Well done to Hedgehogs and Foxes who raised the most in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
