  • Red Nose Day - we have raised more than £260!

    Fri 24 Mar 2017
What a fabulous day of fun we have had, raising money for Red Nose Day.  We held a design competition, raffle, cake sale and an obstacle course at lunch time.  Great to see everyone having SO much fun and raising money for a very good cause at the same time.  Go Brington, Go!
  • Lent Challenge 4

    Wed 22 Mar 2017

The theme for Bishop Stephen's Lent Challenge this year is refugees.  As a school, we have really tried to provide experiences to try to help each of us know what it would be like to 'be in the shoes of a refugee'.

Today, for challenge 4, we held our Collective Worship outside, praying for refugees in all four corners of the world, while wearing 'bottle' shoes, or even going barefoot!

    (This was optional).

It was cold and wet and it certainly made us appreciate our well fitting shoes with no holes in!

  • GenR8 lead Collective Worship

    Mon 20 Mar 2017
We were once again thrilled to welcome GenR8 to lead our Collective Worship on the theme of Easter.  Through a range of drama, poetry, song and readings, they reminded us that Christians believe that Jesus died to wipe the slate clean and give everyone a fresh start.

What a great night we had on Friday at the BSA Bingo and Beanz night.  We all had loads of fun and really enjoyed ourselves.  Thank you everyone involved, particularly Mr. Moore (Harrison's Dad) for the lovely food and Pat Moore, Jen Hickey and Andy Clarke for their organization.  Can't wait for the next event.  We'll let you know how much money was made very soon!

  • Young Leaders lead KS1 multiskills Club

    Tue 31 Jan 2017

Some of our Young Leaders started a Multiskills Club for our KS1 pupils at lunchtime today.  Our KS1 pupils practiced their physical skills and our Year 6 pupils had an opportunity to develop their leadership skills.

We are so proud of all of our young leaders at the moment.  They are doing a great job in all sorts of ways in our school.  Thank you.

  • Praise for our pupils

    Fri 20 Jan 2017

We are so proud of you all.  Look what the teacher on the Life Education Bus wrote to Mr. Farrell!

"I'm just writing to say thank you for the warm welcome to your school I received last week. I thoroughly enjoyed bringing the Life Education Centre to work with your pupils, staff and parents/carers.

I worked with all of the classes over the course of two days and was impressed with the children's behaviour, their willingness to share ideas and ask thoughtful questions. It was so nice to see how well they listened to each other and how respectful they were about differing opinions on the sensitive PSHE topics we covered."

I will look forward to working with you all again in the future.

Thank you everyone for behaving as expected and demonstrating good learning behaviours.  no
