  • Badgers Team Building Event

    Tue 24 Nov 2015

This morning, Badgers participated in a Team building event organised by Hunts Schools Sport Partnership.  They took part in a whole range of activities designed to support and develop their ability to work in a team.

"I think the racoon circle helped me to be calm and gentle.  Everyone liked this activity; we got to share our emotions ans what we like, as a team."  Matthew

"I loved the card finding game because it helped me with my teamwork with people I don't usually work with and it helped me to improve my elimination skills.  I'm looking forward to doing it again next year!"    Lucy

"I loved it (roll a ball) because it was peaceful and we all worked as a team.  It was epic."       Elizabeth

"It helped me to meet new people and socialise.  I enjoyed playing the blindfold game when you have to trust people.  I'm looking forward to coming to Brington School."    TC

  • Governor Day

    Fri 20 Nov 2015

Members of our governing body spent the day in school today for the second 'Governor Day'.   They started the day with this half term's full governing body meeting, then discussed what the priorities were for the governing body following our recent Ofsted inspection. This included a discussion about the difficulties we, along with other Cambridgeshire schools have experienced with recruitment and how we might overcome these.                                                                    Miss Venditti gave an update on her work as Senior Teacher and Mrs Kennedy talked about her developing role as Inclusion Manager and the impact this was having.        Governors joined pupils and parents for lunch and Celebration Assembly as well as looking closely at the school's data and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Family and Governor lunch

    Fri 20 Nov 2015
Parents had asked for more opportunities to come into school and experience daily life at Brington so today,  mums, dads grandparents and governors joined us at school for lunch. Thank you to our catering staff for doing a great job in preparing all those extra meals and to Miss Venditti for organising it all.
  • Children in Need

    Mon 16 Nov 2015

On Friday 13th November, we got involved in raising money for Children in Need.  We paid a pound to come to school dressed in our PJs.  In the afternoon, we had a choice of fun activities to take part in:  design your superhero, Pudsey run (or walk) or playing rounders.

We raised more than £120.  Thank you to everyone who contributed and a special thank you to Alex, Hattie and Henry for organizing the day!
