Teaching Assistant 1:1 (Year 1) (To start ASAP or September 2021)

Brington C of E Primary School is recruiting a Teaching Assistant who wishes to work in a school where ‘Pupils behave well, feel safe in school and show care and consideration to others’ within a ‘harmonious and respectful community’ (Good Ofsted September 2017) 


Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 3.15 pm

TA to work as part of our inclusion team to work 1:1 with a child with special educational needs (Key Stage 1)

Pay: Grade 2 (point 5)

To start: September or ASAP


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • An ability to support learning for 1:1 children or groups in KS1;
  • The ability to work in a team but also to use your own initiative;
  • Organisational and time management skills;
  • The ability to manage and deal with challenging behaviour;
  • Patience and a good sense of humour;
  • A desire to learn and take on new challenges;
  • The ability to build good relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues;
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.


The closing date for applications is noon on 22nd April 2021.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview and these will be held on 29th April 2021.
