Today, we are putting decimals on a number line and then rounding them to the nearest integer (whole number).
Last time we looked at rounding way back in the Autumn Term (what a distant memory now!!), some of you were getting confused when identifying which two tens numbers a number came between. It is possible to get confused in the same way here so think carefully and use a number line to help you if you need it. For example, it's easy to think that the nearest whole numbers to 7.6 are 6 and 8. If you use a number line to check, however, it becomes clear that 7.6 comes between 7 and 8!
