Homework

Homework expectations.

Children in Hawks class should read at home at least 4 times a week.  The children will bring home a book that matches a colour band that they are focussing on. They are also free to bring home another book that they wish to share at home. The children can change their reading books once they have ben read or keep them a bit longer if they are enjoying a particular book. 

Please make a note of any books that have been read or shared in your child's reading journal. 

Spellings or phoneme practise will be set on a Sunday evening through google classroom and should be practised as often as possible. The children will have an informal test on Friday to see how they have got on. 

Any additional homework that you wish to complete such as practising maths or learning times tables is much appreciated during Year 2.
