In Hawks, we have a box full of positive thoughts that have been found or created by Hawks class themselves. At the start of each day someone new picks out a thought of the day, we then discuss what we think it might mean and how we could apply it to our day/life. Now we have a bank of amazing quotes every time we do the register in the morning each child gets to pick a thought of the day to say out loud. How can you have a bad day when you are surrounded by 21 positive thoughts before you have even ordered your lunch.
In Hawks, we also have our own positive thought diary which we write in at least once a week. Children get the chance to reflect on things that they feel have gone well during the day or week, giving them something personal at the end of the year to read back through and reminisce over the good times.
