Together, striving to be the best that we can be!

I found this lovely poem over the weekend about a drop of water and its journey around the water cycle. It's simple, effective and clever.

Today, I would like you to read the poem a couple of times aloud to hear how the rhythm and rhyme work. Then, grab your colours and see if you can highlight (or list in your lined book):

  • the rhyming words
  • scientific vocabulary linked to the water cycle
  • verbs
  • adjectives
  • adverbs
  • prepositions

You will probably need to use a key to show which colour is highlighting which feature. If you can't remember what any of the words in the above list mean, use our friend Google to recap!

This poem makes the water drops and the wind seem like they are alive with human qualities. I'll give a house point to anyone who can blog to tell me what that feature is called!
