Summer Term 1 2021

I love the Summer Term!  Everything is starting to grow and we can get planting in the school gardens.

This term we are moving our geography focus from South America to North America and exploring some of the countries, climates and cities that make up this amazing continent.  In science we will be taking advantage of the season and looking, in depth, at plants and their life cycles.  We have some super art and computing planned for this term as well as tag rugby and athletics for PE.  We will continue to have our PE lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays this half-term so remember to come into school in your PE kits on those days.

If you would like to know more about what is coming up this half term, please look at the science and geography knowledge organisers below for a little taste.

Spring Term 2 2021

South America

We're going to learn about the human and physical geography of this amazing continent over the next few weeks, as well as fitting in our annual Book Week and Science Week too (both of which have an outdoor and nature focus).

We can't wait to welcome everyone back to school on Monday 8th March! Once we return to school, please come in PE Kit (red t'shirt, black shorts or trousers, red or black jumper or hoodie, trainers, no jewellery) every Monday and Wednesday. You will need to make sure you have a pair of wellies that fit on the rack outside the classroom, please. Don't forget that we try to get outside in most weather conditions so you will need to make sure you always have a waterproof coat in school.

Spring Term I 2021

The Ancient Maya

In January, we move on to a new history inspired topic about the Maya, which was a civilisation that flourished in present-day Mexico, Belize and Guatemala between about 900 and 300 BC. Have a look at our medium term plan and knowledge organiser below to see what we'll be getting up to!
