Anti-Bullying Meeting Follow Up

What we’ve done since the last meeting:

  • Staggered lunchtime for a few children who find it difficult to manage their own time for the whole lunch hour
  • Equipment reorganised and timetabled
  • Pupils either all on the playground or all on the field during break and lunch times
  • Zero tolerance in the Reflection Garden – a place to be calm and quiet
  • Improved communication between adults within the school and in reporting to parents
  • Bus duty log
  • New lunchtime assistant
  • Split KS1 and KS2 football

The impact that the changes have made:

  • Very few incidents of inappropriate physical behaviour
  • Children are more engaged on wetter days (playground days) using the new equipment  rota
  • Less squabbles over football teams
  • Quicker ability to tackle issues

Our further actions:

Share out the staggered lunchtime duty between all members of staff and ensure that the lunchtime assistants know if any more children are added to this strategy.

Communicate with all children that a staggered lunch is a preventative measure, not a punishment and is to help those children who find it difficult to use their time appropriately for the whole lunch time

In the summer term, trial mixed key stage football on the field.

Add everything discussed at the parent’s forum to the website so that others can contribute.
